For Tweed Twin (Chicago Jensen P12N's) and other 50's tweed amps with AlNiCo 12's. 12", 40oz AlNiCo magnet, 25 or 50 watts, 1-1/2" voice coil, ribbed cone. Warm, smooth breakup, aggressive, punchy, loud, compresses at higher volumes. Two-fold surround, 8 rib pulp cone, same as late 50's, early 60's Chicago Jensen P12N. This is my favorite speaker for the Deluxe Reverb. My playing is pretty sloppy but you can get a pretty good idea of what the speaker sounds like clean. |
